The wedding of the century is here. Oh wait, that already happened in April. Okay, there’s another huge wedding today. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know today is the day Kim Kardashian marries Kris Humphries.
Kim and Kris got engaged just a few months ago and in less than 90 days, thanks to the help of a fancy wedding planner and Kris Jenner, Kim’s big day has arrived.
Kim, Kris and both their families arrived in Montecito, California yesterday with reality show camera crew in tow. They checked into their swanky five star hotel (see photos below) and got a good nights rest ahead of today’s extravagant wedding.
"Today Is The Day! I can't believe it's finally here!" a clearly excited Kim Kardashian posted on Saturday, her wedding day – to Kris Humphries.
"Thank you so much to everyone who made this day happen!!!!!," she writes.
What to Expect: Reality show cameras will document every minute of today’s ceremony so E! can monetize on the wedding in a two-part wedding special, which will air on October 9th and 10th. Security has been beefed up so don’t expect to catch a glimpse of Kim anytime soon. The exclusive photos have already been sold to various magazines, and the footage won’t air til E! airs it. There are tents set up so the paparazzi won’t be able to catch a glimpse at all.
The Dress: Kim Kardashian asked her good pal Vera Wang to create a custom gown for her big day. Wait, did I say a custom gown? I meant two. Rumor has it Kim will change into two different dresses today. She also paid Christian Louboutin big bucks to create four different custom made shoes for her. Louboutin doesn’t comp anything for anybody, so she most likely spent around $15-20K for shoes alone. Lucky girl!
The Flowers: The wedding flowers are stayed hush hush, but Kim asked her favorite florist in Los Angeles, Saco Sarkissian from Petals LA to create stunning flowers for her for her bridal shower and rehearsal dinner. Sources at the shower tell Hollyscoop the flowers were simply "breathtaking".
The Cake: Kim wanted to feel like royalty today so she asked Hanson’s Bakery in Los Angeles to recreate the Royal Wedding cake. They’re getting a ton of press from creating the cake, so they most likely gave her the cake for free.
