Kim Kardashian is lashing out at Katie Couric over comments she made to In Touch recently when she dared to question the public fascination with the family’s appeal.
“I don’t understand,” Katie said, “Why are they famous? I think it’s mostly teenage girls that are interested.”
It’s a comment you wouldn’t really expect from the former news anchor. However, Katie’s been immersed lately in the world of daytime talk show television, which of course, largely involves topics concerning celebrity gossip. So, she’s just trying to wrap her mind around it for the sake of her show.
Kim, however, didn’t take kindly to the remark.
On her Instagram, she uploaded a photo of a note Katie sent Kim and her boyfriend Kanye West after they announced they were having a child together.
The card enclosed with a baby gift from Katie wished the new family congratulations and signed it “fondly.”
Kim had choice hashtags and nothing more in response, captioning it, “#IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkSh*t”.
It’s already divided Kim's followers, some applauding her for firing back, others for saying she should’ve kept the matter to herself, calling it an immature move.
