Whenever any couple gets a pre-nup, some bitter and most-likely poor single woman has to whisper under their breath, “it’s because they don’t love each other.”
When you’re a celebrity who is worth $35 million (ahem, Kim K) you would be an idiot not to get that pre-nuptial agreement signed in blood. Kim and Kris previously announced they would sign a pre-nup that, if they divorce, Kim would keep everything she earned during the marriage and Kris would walk with nothing.
Talk about trust.
Kim tells Jay Leno her reasons for getting a pre-nup, “We are really open, we’re really honest, you know my father made me sign contracts for literally everything. I think that [signing a pre-nup is] a smart thing to do for me and for him…I don’t think that it takes away from any kind of love or anything…It’s just a smart thing that him and I both mutually agreed upon.”
The Kardashian women are as good at mixing love and business as they are at jersey chasing.
Sister Khloe shares a business and reality show with her hubby Lamar so they also believe in pre-nuptial agreements. Khloe supports Kim’s decision to get a pre-nup, “I don’t care if you make $5 or $5 million, in this day and age. People are crazy, you never know. And when you have businesses together, like we do, you have to protect yourself. It doesn’t mean you don’t love them.”
