If you can say “Kanye is reserved in his emotions” with a straight face, then you don’t know Kanye.
The rapper pulled another VMA moment, this time at a solo concert at the Revel Resort in Atlantic City, as he professed his love for his shiny new girlfriend Kim Kardashian. Early in the evening, in true Kanye form, he channeled his emotions through a microphone to thousands of onlookers.
“I admit I fell in love with Kim,” he said.
As Kanye made the sappy statement, he directed his gaze up and pointed into the audience where Kim was sitting.
The announcement was part of an intro of his song “Way Too Cold” (aka “Theraflu), which features lyrics “Can I have a bad b*tch without no flaws/Come to meet me without no drawers?”
It was Kanye’s first solo show since he took on the road with friend and long time collaborator Jay-Z for their Watch the Throne Tour. The set list that spanned his career with “Jesus Walks” to “Gold Digger” to “Dark Fantasy.” His 27 selected tracks highlighted the ups and downs of his years in the industry.
According to New York's Daily News, later on he followed up, “If you love someone tonight ... hold on real tight!"
The women in Kanye’s life, seemed to be a running theme for the concert. After opening with the love announcement, he closed on “Hey Mama,” a ballad to his late mother, Donda West.
"This show and every show is dedicated to one person," he said, referring to his mom.
Sorry Kim, you may be his number one girl, but it sounds like you’ll never be his number one lady.
