How Celebrities Are Spending New Year's Eve

Celebrities spend all year long jet setting across the country, sometimes world, for whatever it is they do—whether it be a secluded film, a non-stop concert tour, or hosting parties up and down the coast. Hey, it’s just all part of the star-studded lifestyle!

When it comes what celebs do for the New Year’s Eve holiday, in true celeb fashion, they’re going all out. Some want to minimize their commutes and stick close to their roots for New Year’s and do super uneventful, but comforting activities like the rest of us. Others don’t take an off day and take it as an opportunity to keep up their work ethic and attend parties across the U.S. coasts, probably for a pay check to add to their stockings.

Here are what some of your favorite starry personalities are doing for the holiday season. You might be surprised by a few of their responses!

As for ringing in 2013? When it comes to New Year’s Eve, Times Square appears to be the center of the universe for celebrities. Ryan Seacrest and Fergie will host the annual “Dick Clark’s Rocking New Year’s Eve” telecast, which Fergie tells Hollyscoop is “great because we’re doing this whole homage to Dick Clark this year because of his passing and it’s wonderful.”

As for Pauly D, the reality star-turned-spin master will be having a busy night, DJ’ing three parties, adding that Rihanna is his New Year’s Eve midnight wish kiss.

Rihanna is a popular dream midnight kiss wish—even Nathan Sykes and Max George said they’d like to smooch the Bajan beauty at the stroke of 2013 (sorry, Lindsay).

Castmate Deena just wants to spend the evening with her boyfriend, saying that he’s her only New Year’s Eve kiss.

Joanna Krupa of “The Real Housewives of Miami” will be in her signature city, of course, celebrating the last minutes of 2012 at her fiancé Romain Zago’s hotspot Mynt Lounge.

In Las Vegas, Kim Kardashian will host one of Sin City’s most anticipated parties at 1oak nightclub at the Mirage, possibly with Kanye West—the same hotspot the rapper spent ringing in 2012.

At Pure Nightclub, another rapper, Nicki Minaj, will be rah, rah-ing like a dungeon dragon.

Other stars spending their New Year’s Eve on the strip include Common at Hyde Lounge, John Legend at Haze, Kelly Rowland and Travis Barker at The Palms, 2chainz at Chateau Nightclub, and J. Cole at Tao Nightclub.

If you happen to be in any of these cities with no set plans for the evening, apparently these are the parties to be!
