We all love a bargain, which is why Forever 21 is usually at the top of our list when it comes to a shopping spree--but they’ve just made an enemy in
Kim Kardashian by using her face as part of their new campaign for bigger women.
Forever just launched a new collection called
Faith 21, which marketing manager Linda Chang says is “for a curvier girl that loves fashion.” And right next to that statement is a picture of Kim! The article goes on to say that the collection of knit and woven tops, dresses, and jeans range from XL to 2XL, and are all priced under $31.
Kim responded on her blog, saying: “I feel that this clipping from Us Magazine is a bit misleading, so I wanted to comment on it.
"I am a huge fan of Forever 21 and I'm very happy they have expanded their line to include a plus-size range, but I am not in that size category and this article makes it sound like I am! I am a curvy girl and I love my curves, but curvy and plus-sized are two very different things. I work really hard to maintain my curves while staying slim and healthy, so to be classed as a "fuller-figured woman" of extra large proportions is a little offensive.
For the record, I am a size 2, not 2XL.”
We don’t know what’s funnier…Kim saying she’s a size 2, or Forever 21 linking her name to their brand for plus-sized women. She’s probably never shopped there a day in her life anyway!
