A Twitter feud between two celebrities is a very real and very serious thing. How else will the entire world know they are fighting if it isn’t broadcast across twitter in 140 characters or less? From Anderson Cooper and MIA’s recent virtual battle to Kim Kardashian slamming Jon Hamm on the social networking site, these are the celebrity twitter feuds of 2012
Anderson Cooper and MIA: The drama started with MIA, who tweeted, “Anderson Cooper called me a terrorist…” Pretty intense words. So Anderson shot back, “MIA you are mistaken. I never called you a terrorist. I don’t even know who you are other than the lady who sang at the Super Bowl…” Okay, Anderson: 1, MIA: 0. MIA then said that a blog on CNN called MIA a “lady Tamil tiger” because MIA was vocal about Sri Lankan civilians dying. However, Anderson had the last word, and I’m paraphrasing here, he said… MIA is dumb and those words were written by a lowly CNN blogger and Anderson doesn’t even know who MIA is.
Jon Hamm and Kim Kardashian: The beginning of this feud was started off-twitter when Jon Hamm called Kim Kardashian and all her friends, “idiots.” Kim retaliated on twitter saying, “calling someone who runs their own businesses, is part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, “stupid” is in my opinion careless.” Moral of this story: don’t mess with “business women.”
Rihanna and Kareuche Tran: This twitter beef was my favorite, because nothing is better than a love triangle between a very famous person, a regular person, and a guy who is hated by most of the public. Rihanna was recently involved in a twitter feud with Chris Brown's rumored girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Rihanna tweeted a pic of some rice cakes wearing sunglasses and gold hoop earring and wrote, "Imma make you my b-tch." This tweet was interpreted to be a racist jab at Karrueche who is Vietnamese. Then Karreuche writes, "I’m Angeline, you’re Jen. C’mon you see where Brad is at." C'mon ladies, settle down, it's JUST Chris Brown.
Chris Brown and Miranda Lambert: Since we're on the topic of Chris Brown...country singer Miranda Lambert hates him. After she complained that he won Grammys and got to perform twice in the show, she also tweeted," I don't get it. He beat on a girl…Not cool that we act like that didn't happen." Then Chris finally wrote back, "Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out! Go buy @miranda_lambert! So motivational and “PERFECT.” Goodnight to all the people who live life and who aren’t stuck in the past!” DRAMA.
Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine: This one isn't so much a feud but rather some twitter feather ruffling. A year ago Adam Levine tweeted that "there should be a ban on celebrity fragrances." Cut to today: Adam is releasing his own brand of fragrances. Smells like hypocrisy. Christina Aguilera then called him out for the old tweet writing, "hah @adamlevine. What a difference a year makes. Welcome to the celebrity fragrance family."
Leah Remini and Sharon Osbourne: So there's this show on CBS called "The Talk" that is exactly like "The View" except not good...Anyways, actress Leah Remini used to be on the show but claims that one of the shows hosts Sharon Osbourne had her and Holly Robinson Peete fired. Leah tweeted, “Sharon though me and Holly were ‘ghetto.’” Sharon tweeted back, “Let me just go on the record to say I had absolutely nothing to do with her departure…I have no idea why she continues to take to twitter to spread this false gossip.” Anyways, they went back and forth forever until Leah had the last laugh basically saying, call my lawyers b-tch!
