Kanye West has a new responsibility on his hands and it’s a lot heavier than an album to promote.
Last month, the rapper welcomed a baby girl, North West, with his girlfriend Kim Kardashian, and with the media circus surrounding the news, Kanye appears to be caving under all the pressure. Just watch that video of him attacking a paparazzo at LAX a few more times.
Now his close friend Jay Z is stepping in to offer Kanye much-needed advice about how to handle the glare of celebrity while also raising a child.
"Jay's been giving him a little bit of coaching on staying calm in public,” a source told the Daily Star. “He's told him he should zone out, not focus on what's happening around him and instead enjoy what he's got. Above all, now he's a dad, he's got to chill out and set an example for his kid."
Kanye “gets so angry and frustrated with the celebrity world,” the source added, he needs someone in his life who can relate like Jay Z, who, just a year and a half ago, welcomed his own baby girl into the world, Blue Ivy Carter, with his wife, Beyoncé.
However, Kim’s entire empire is built on living her life in public, as the principal reality star of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” That worldview contradicts nearly all of Kanye’s pursuits.
“For someone like Kanye, who hates it,” the source said, “that's hard to deal with."
