They said they wouldn't be releasing Kiefer Sutherland early, and Glendale Police have stuck to it. They've announced they'll be releasing him on Monday, which is 48 days on the dot.

Kiefer went to prison on December 5th, and Glendale police promised they wouldn't let him out early. Still, Monday must seem like a year away when you're in jail.

Kiefer Sutherland is a “model prisoner” at his new home for 48 days, the Glendale City Jail. Sutherland turned himself him on Wednesday night to start serving his time relating to his DUI and a probation violation charges.

"He's not happy to be here," Officer John Balian said, "but you can tell from his demeanor that he's sorry and takes responsibility for what's he's done."

If he takes responsibility after only 3 days in jail, imagine what might happen after 48 days?...
