A 28-year-old woman is claiming to have been assaulted by rocker Kid Rock at his home. The woman filed a report with the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.
According to Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe, Kid Rock, a Macomb County native invited a woman and a man to his home to listen to his upcoming album after meeting the two the night of March 8 at the Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen.
According to the allegations, the group was listening to music when she decided to be a good mother and go home to her children.
That is when Kid Rock allegedly got pissed because he thought he was gonna spend the night with her. He then became “loud and verbally abusive when she refused to stay,” McCabe said. The woman also claims that he “grabbed her by the back of the neck twice when she was outside his home and pushed her toward her car.”
Kid Rock has admitted that the woman and a man were in fact invited to his home to listen to music. However, the rocker says that they were all listening to songs from his upcoming album when the woman began acting loud and obnoxious and baggin on his music in a rude manner.
Rock also claims that she was asked to leave due to her behavior and then she began making claims that she was going to accuse him of assaulting her.
"At this point, we have two people who say one thing and two other people that say something else," he said. "Once the investigation is completed, a report will be given to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office."
