Gossip publications Life & Style and In Touch have caught some heat lately from celebrities claiming that the stories about them are fabricated and blasphemous.
The latest star to fight back: Khloe Kardashian.
Stories published in these "unreliable" outlets put the reality star on blast for reporting a number of false claims, ranging from her failing marriage with husband, Lamar Odom, to her inability to have children.
Khloe took her grievances to Celebuzz.com, calling out the publications as, “distasteful and shameless.”
A source close to Khloe tells Hollyscoop that loyal fans have kept her going through the drama.
“The fans have been incredibly supportive,” the source says. “They always have her back. That makes a huge [difference] to have a connection with them.”
In her post, Khloe writes that it would be, “a complete waste of time” to try to address each of the rumors against her, seeing as her face seems to make the magazines’ covers every week:
“Life & Style and In Touch magazines continue to print these false stories about my life: the status of my marriage, false reports about a miscarriage, the horrible lie that my dad is not my biological father, jealousy over my sisters' lives, etc. …. Not only are these stories untrue, they’re also unfair to the people who buy the magazines expecting to read accurate reports.”
These celebrity tabloids recently made headlines when Tom Cruise filed a $50 million lawsuit against their publishers for claiming that he had abandoned his daughter Suri.
It is unclear whether Khloe plans to take legal action against Life & Style and In Touch, but it is certainly not out of the question.
A statement from Life & Style and In Touch to Hollyscoop in regard's to Khloe's post read:
"As leaders in the entertainment news category, it's our role to report the ups and downs of celebrities’ lives. These articles are based on on-the-record interviews with family members, multiple eyewitness accounts, insider sourcing and strong reporting. We stand by our stories."
