K-Fed Didn't Want Sole Custody

Kevin Federline was reportedly "shocked" that his ex Britney didn't fight harder for her kids. Apparently he wasn't aiming for sole custody, and he was just putting up a fight.

A source tells British magazine Closer, "Kevin loves his sons, but he didn't aim for sole custody. He wanted to be a co-parent and didn't expect Britney not to fight for custody.

"He never wanted full responsibility. He believes both parents should take an active role. It's tough being a single parent, plus he already has another two children."

So basically he was fighting for more money, but joint custody? Some things never change!

It's amazing to me the amount of people in this world who have reading comprehension problems and are happy to look for the bad in a person. The article clearly states he DIDN'T want sole custody. He wanted Britney to have a more active role in the boys' lives. When you go to court you always ask for more than what you want or think you may get. The sad part is, Britney didn't put up a fight. She pretty much conceded she's a lousy parent and is more willing to hand over some cash than to be responsible for her children. When is the public going to get it?? He left her most likely because she had an undiagnosed mental problem and couldn't deal with living with the insanity. I think he desearve some credit. He hasn't come out publicly bashing Britney. He was there for her when she had her breakdowns. He let Britney's parents spend time with their grandchildren even when Britney wouldn't. He has given her visitation above and beyond what was ordered by the courts, and by all accounts...including Britney's parents and the mother of his two older children, he's a great dad. Without all the media attention and public scrutiny, this would just be a normal custody issue.
