It was only a matter of time really. The younger half-sisters of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are in talks to get their own spin-off programs on the E! Network.
14-year-old Kylie and 16-year-old Kendall have made “cameos” on all the various Kardashian reality TV series, like the time that Kendall went on birth control! Or that time that Kris Jenner was ignoring Kylie and Kendall and so she tried to jump in on their impromptu dance party in an effort to appear fun and cool and the girls were like “eww mom, so embarrassing.” Or the time they maxed out Bruce Jenner’s credit card and he made them go to a homeless shelter…
It’s both sad and impressive how much I know about this family.
Anyways, Bonnie Hammer, Chairman of NBCU Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios, said she was hoping for "two, three, even four new Kardashian spin-offs.”
What! Four possible Kardashian spin-offs!? What is left to even talk about! Actually, the network wants to develop Rob Kardashian his own show too. He used to be the sloppy older brother that couldn’t find a job and just kind of ate chips in the background of every shot, but ever since he was a finalist on “Dancing With The Stars” he’s suddenly the “Kardashian to watch.”
Hammer thinks the Kardashian franchise will continue to churn out seasons and seasons of shows as long as they are still relevant, and by writing this story I am making them relevant. Dammit!
Talking about the Jenner girls new show, Hammer says, “I think it will have its own life expectancy and we'll just go along with it and help hone what's right for E! and what's not right for E! as we develop a whole other world."
In a strange twist, it’s the teenage daughters who actually have showbiz jobs. Unlike the older Kardashians who have become famous for being famous, both Kendall and Kylie are models. The real kind, not the “modeling” for Midori Sour and Sketcher Shape-Ups like Kim K sometimes does. Kylie modeled in Avril Lavigne’s Abbey Dawn fashion show at NY Fashion Week, and Kendall has done several print ads including one for Sherri Hill and walked for the brand at NY Fashion Week too.
Hammer also ads that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage was not set-up and that their union was actually real.
“This was not a stunt. In no way did people believe that this was going to happen,” Hammer tells The Hollywood Reporter.
I think true Kardashian fans know that a bigger than life mistake can be made easily in their world. Everything they do is bigger in life, it's just part of their DNA."
