Even if he’s not being metaphorical, I believe this 100%. I can totally picture Camille Grammer moving in and saying, “Where’s that little dog? Can you get Daphne to make me some tea? Do you still talk to your friends from Cheers?”
In an interview with Piers Morgan on Monday, Kelsey Grammer said that his Real ex-Housewife of Beverly Hills only married him because of his status.
“I think she married me because I was ‘Frasier’,” Kelsey said, in reference to the hit 1993-2004 Cheers spinoff.
"[Frasier] had this great wonderful life ... he was stylish ... and just a little gay ... Kelsey Grammer is a different story."
While I can believe that Camille Grammer has a hard time separating fact from fiction and probably thinks The Simpsons are an actual family, I can’t really blame her for mistaking Kelsey for Frasier. That’s what you get when you play the same character for twenty-two years.
Piers Morgan then asked Frasier—uh, I mean, Kelsey—what the most hurtful thing is that Camille has said about him. Keep in mind, she accused him of having a small penis, which is already pretty low.
“She once said that I didn’t want my daughter,” Kelsey says. Earlier this summer, while battling in court for custody of their two children, Camille claimed that Kelsey only wanted custody of their son and didn’t spend any time with their daughter. “That pissed me off,” the actor said.
Kelsey then remembered another hurtful thing his ex said about him:
"The thing that she said that hurt me the most ... that hurt Kayte [his new wife] and me ... is that thing about the child we lost ... something about it being karma ... it's just disgusting."
Yeah, that’s pretty terrible.
It was during the first season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that the marriage between Kelsey and Camille fell apart. Since then, Grammer has called the show his “parting gift” to Camille.
"It was a very difficult marriage and a very difficult decade. I thought, 'So long, here's a present for you.'"
During their marriage, Kelsey met flight attendant Kayte Walsh, who he married in February of this year.
“Looking back, maybe he wanted to keep me preoccupied in California while he was off having his affair in New York,” Camille told the New York Post.
“I think it was more Kelsey’s agenda. I was very reluctant, because I am a very private person.”
In case you’re wondering, yes, this is the perfect time to roll your eyes.
