Kelly Rowland Takes HIV Test For Charity

Kelly Rowland is doing her part to raise awareness of HIV and Aids. She'll be traveling to Nairobi to get tested for the virus, in hopes that young people in the country will follow her lead.  Kelly is partnered up with MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, which looks to reduce discrimination against HIV and Aids victims.

Kelly says, "Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to HIV infection, and it is important for everyone to know their HIV status. The quicker you know your status, the sooner you can receive treatment if you're HIV+, and reduce the risk of inadvertently infecting future partners." 

That is a great way to raise awareness about this awful virus that has affected Africa so such a degree. We think she and MTV should continue their efforts worldwide.
