Sometimes these celebs get over their issues, and sometimes they show up to a red carpet event with rotting teeth.
Other celebrities work hard to keep their addictions in check. They quietly enter rehab, quietly recover, and then get right back into the spotlight. Here are some celebs we didn't know were recovering addicts.
Daniel Radcliffe: When the Harry Potter star recently revealed his sobriety, we had no idea he'd had a problem. "I became so reliant on alcohol to enjoy stuff," he said. "There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me."

They say losing a child is the worst thing a human being can go through, so whatever helps you to move on, I say go for it.
...But aside from all this, we all know Scientology is wack, right? I'm not sure how to tell right off the bat whether something is a cult, but I think having to pay for your spirituality probably isn't a good sign. Also, Tom Cruise jumping on a sofa doesn’t help.
Charlie used to be engaged to Kelly Preston before she married John Travolta. That is, until he reportedly shot her.
Kelly had a gunshot wound to her arm, which Charlie was blamed for, and now, over 20 years later he’s trying to set the record straight.

A spokesman for the couple said: "John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully."
Kelly and John announced the pregnancy in May, saying: "It's impossible to keep a secret ... especially one as wonderful as this. We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family."
Tragically their son Jett was died in January 2009 at age 16 after suffering a seizure while the family was vacation in the Bahamas. It's

He and wife Kelly Preston have decided it’s better off for their family and have requested that the charges against the two men accused of attempting to extort $25 million from them after the death of their 16-year-old son, Jett, be dropped.
Prosecutor Neil Braithwaite said in a statement, "The Travolta family has said that this matter has caused them unbelievable stress and pain and they wish to put this whole thing behind them."
The lawyer submitted the motion to drop the case after a jury had already been chosen and a retrial scheduled for ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne and his attorney, Pleasant Bridgewater.
John explained that he “concluded that it was in my family's best interest for me not to voluntarily return to the Bahamas to testify a second time at trial. Almost a year later, the long pending status of this matter continued to take a heavy emotional toll on my family, causing us to conclude that it was finally time to put this matter behind us."
This is so sad. Poor John and Kelly just want to be able to enjoy the birth of their new son who is due this fall, and be able to forget those awful memories. Those people should thank their lucky stars for getting off so easy.

They hosted a shower for their baby boy on August 8 at their home in LA with 40 close friends. The outdoor gathering had a bird’s nest theme to it. Lady Liberty Catering & Event Planning supplied the food for the event, and baker Dorie Kinney brought a three-layer cake. It “was a wonderful day,” says shower co-host Keisha Whitaker.
Says a family friend: “This baby is such a healing baby.”
That cake looks too good to even eat! We’re glad John and Kelly are in such a good place right now. Can’t wait to meet baby Travolta!

That’s right! The couple is reportedly expecting twins. Star magazine claims she’s pregnant with twin boys. “They were ecstatic when they thought they were having just one baby,” says an insider. “Now that there will be two, they can barely contain their happiness!”

The source says Kelly began in vitro treatments a few months after Jett’s death. As you may know, in vitro increases the chances of having multiple babies. And that’s exactly what happened with Kelly!
She’s due in the fall, and sources say she couldn’t be happier. A friend says, "She’s having the time of her life looking at all the cute little outfits and toys online!”
We’re so happy for Kelly and John—they deserve to happy!
UPDATE: "Extra" confirms from their rep that the Travolta's are "NOT expecting twins."

A couple of years ago, Kelly expressed her desire to have a third child, telling People, "I thought I would get pregnant when Ella was about 4. Then I wanted to work a little bit more, and all of a sudden she's 7. I'm not pregnant now, but I don't have another movie project [lined up]; that's all I'll say."
Ella is well over four now, and with the tragic death of their son Jett last year, we can imagine she’s been wanting another child more than ever!
Kelly and John have been through so much tragedy in recent months, including their two dogs being killed in an accident at an airport in Maine earlier this week, so this pregnancy news is great to hear!
