Kelly Osbourne is reportedly clean and sober after finishing up her latest stint in rehab.
Kelly checked into a facility for her third time in five years at the end of January. She was there for a month and got out three weeks ago, claiming to have a fresh take on life. Kelly and her fiancé Luke Worral are currently living together in LA, and are ready for a new start.
In the new issue of People, Kelly addresses her issues with prescription pills and alcohol, which started when she was young. She tells the magazine:
"I found when I take this, people like me. I’m having fun, I’m not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing." She also said that at the time of shooting the family reality show The Osbournes, Kelly was taking "whatever I could sniff or swallow to not be me".
Kelly says she started seeing how her addictions affected her career. She tells People, "I drank, I was rude, I said I’d do something and wouldn’t show up. I did what I could to destroy it."
But apparently that’s all behind her! She says, "I’m getting a second chance, and I want to be present for it. Getting up in the morning and not having to think of a list of lies is a new thing. I went on a plane and didn’t take a pill for the first time."
Well we hope it sticks this time! Kelly doesn’t have the best track record. And we wonder why celebs are constantly in and out of rehab all the time! 30 days hardly seems long enough to undo years and years of substance abuse. But we wish Kelly luck with her new take on life.
