ABC’s series premiere of “Duets” took place on Thursday night. The show takes the celebrity “coach” idea of “The Voice” and instead makes the team sing together on stage, hence: “Duets.” The result is a lot of performances of songs that you forgot existed.

People Magazine recently reported that Clarkson blames her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock, a Nashville based talent manager, for making her lose her creative edge, “I'm trying to write a tough song and it is coming out like butterflies and rainbows."

I know, it was wrong. But it was the first thought that popped in my head, and I probably wasn't not the only one. The American Idol star appeared on The View to talk about her sexuality and getting married and all that.
"I'm from a small town so, like, everyone's married with children or about to have children," Clarkson explained. "So it's a little hard when you go home and people are like -- and that's why people think I'm gay -- because they're like 'Why aren't you married?' And I'm like, 'it doesn't happen for everyone right off the bat.'"

Tons of celebrities have taken to their blogs and twitter pages to express how disappointed they are in Kanye's behavior at the MTV VMA awards, but Kelly took it one step further. She's written an open letter to Kanye---and it's deliciously nasty. Here's what she had to say:
“Dear Kanye,” she wrote, “what happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit.
“I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you.
“The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??
“I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor Swift won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.
“On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!
“Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!”

A ton of celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Joe Jonas and Kelly Clarkson have already agreed to join Idol as guest judges this season, but will that fill Paula's void?
Paula's manager David Sonenberg says there are "no discussions whatsoever about Idol" and Paula returning. And Paula twittered to confirm the news herself. She tweeted on Tuesday night, "with sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return."
Paula's manager added, "She feels fabulous. She feels free. I think in some ways she was typecast in Idol and she was kind of restricted from doing anything she wanted to do and now she's free to decide. She really is very excited about the future and that there's support for her."
An insider revealed to the New York Post's Page Six that while both sides tried to work something out for her to return there "was a hang-up. And they tried offering less money to just have her appear for the live finals in LA, but negotiations broke down."

Kelly has been doing the publicity rounds for her new album All I Ever Wanted, and instead of the focus being on her songs, it’s on her looks. And she’s had enough!
Kelly is currently in Australia pushing her album, and was a guest on the Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning. She told them, "For seven years it's been happening. It's like, 'OK cool, the fat joke.’”
But despite the negative press, Kelly insists she’s ok with the way she looks. She says, "I love my body. I'm very much OK with it. I don't think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people."
But Kelly does say her one issue with being plus-sized is that it’s been hard trying to find a boyfriend. She says, "The rumors are not helping me on the dating front! I prefer the boys. I'm extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls, and I think it's hot, but I'm not into it. I like boys."
But Kelly still stays positive about her love life, saying she’s young and doesn’t want to freak out about it. She says, "I'm only 27, not 40 and still single! I enjoy being single, I love work and I think people are so passive with relationships and I'm not that person."
Poor Kelly! It must be tough to be scrutinized every day in the public eye. But there’s one thing no one can ever take away from her, and that’s her success!

According to a new study conducted by Forbes, Carrie is the top American Idol earner of 2009. She’s earned $14 million in the last year alone!
Since her Idol victory in 2005, Carrie’s played over 300 concerts, released two albums, and sold a total of 9.6 million copies and 10.7 million downloads. And on top of that, she’s won her fair share of awards in the country music genre, including Entertainer of the Year at the ACMs.
Coming in second place is Jennifer Hudson, who has done quite well for herself, without even having won Idol! She banked $5 million in the past year, and is just getting back on her feet with a new album after the untimely death of three of her family members.
Original Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is still bringing in the big bucks. She comes in at number three on the list, having made $4.2 million in the past year. Her latest single “All I Ever Wanted” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard earlier this year.
Wonder if Kris Allen will make the top ten next year! Last year’s winner David Cook sure did! He’s made $2 million since winning season 7.

In a recent interview with AOL’s Popeater, Kelly told them, “I get that all the time.” Popeater went on to ask her: “A large part of your fan base is gay, and there's a longstanding rumor that you are a lesbian. Is there any truth to that?”
Kelly kept her cool, saying, “I get that all the time. People are like, 'Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I’d really love it.' Lesbians tell it to me all the time. I’m like, 'I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.' I could never be a lesbian.
"I would never want to date [someone like] myself, ever. I’m a crazy person. I need some kind of stable, quiet man. I don’t really care if you’re black, white, yellow, gay, straight, crazy, whatever.
"As long as you’re cool and you like the music, and you’re coming out to have a good time at the shows, I don’t really care. I have everything I just said in my family, so I’m just used to being surrounded by that. I just don’t know any different.”
She certainly handled that well! Kelly seems like such a great girl. And you guys heard it here that she’s single, and doesn’t seem to be that picky when it comes to the kind of guy she would date.

All of those die hard Kelly Clarkson fans that were disappointed when Kelly cancelled her tour can now rejoice. Kelly has made an announcement that her tour is back on.
Kelly will do a North American tour with Jon McLaughlin starting October 10 in New York.
