Russell Brand and his bride to be Katy Perry celebrated their recent engagement by having an invite bash with friends and family.

They invited 50 guests to Il Cielo in Beverly Hills for cocktails and cake to celebrate their upcoming wedding--which we hear is this summer.

The whole place was "was decorated with candles and red roses," a source tells People magazine.

Aww these two are really growing on us. And to think just one year ago Katy was going through a huge breakup with then boyfriend Travis Maccoy from Gym Class Heroes. What a difference a year makes!
