Katy Perry's Parents: Her Song Is Sinful

August 18, 2008

While the rest of the world is singing "I kissed a girl, and I liked it" at the top of their lungs, Katy Perry's parents are shocked and embarrassed by her hit song.

Katy's mother, Mary Hudson and father Keith, who are both preachers in California, label the song as "shameful and disgusting."

Her mother Mary said, "She is our daughter and we love her and can't cut her out of our lives. But we strongly disagree with how she is conducting herself and she knows how disappointed we are.

"The message she is promoting is about homosexuality, which the bible clearly states is a sin."

Her parents may be pissed off but she's enjoying the success of her song. It's currently number #1 on the Billboard charts.
