Well, well, well, it looks like Katy Perry is trying to jump on the “pregnant publicity” bandwagon.
Katy Perry will wrap up her 122-show “California Dreams” tour on November 23 at a free concert at the Staples Center but says after that she’s taking some time off to “work on her family” according to sources.
Well, she’s going to do one random show in the Philippines on January 22, 2012, but other than that she’s taking a break from that whirlwind California Dreams tour and will focus on her husband and apparently start popping out babies.
Perry has already sparked pregnancy rumors when she performed on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden and looked a little chubs. Disclaimer: Katy Perry looks great always, but sometimes those candy-inspired leotards she’s always wearing are not very forgiving in the stomach area. So anyways, during the show she told audiences that she was not pregnant but just bloated from too much, “New York City Pizza.”
Even with the “just pizza-not pregnant” scare, the singer really wants to have kids soon.
Katy and her husband Russell Brand recently celebrated their one-year anniversary and Katy appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and talked about her desire to start having kids soon.
“I would love to have children. I think that's one of the reasons you get married. Especially to the person that you marry. You think, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent.”
However, at the time she said, “But I’m not sure it’s yet. We’ll see, ya know.”
Well, a week later and now apparently “it’s time.”
She says she’ll have many babies as long as it doesn’t hurt too much. “If it doesn’t hurt the first time. I’ll keep popping them out,” says Perry.
That’s the spirit Katy! And then she’ll teach them how to hunt with bow and arrow and gather milk from the wild cows that roam the fields their ranch house.
Despite claiming she’s ready to “settle down,” Katy just celebrated her 27th birthday party in what she called her “Wild West Birthday Ho Down Throwdown” in Los Angeles. She was also spotted riding a mechanical bull. Hey, once you have a baby, throwing “ho” inspired parties isn’t really a thing anymore, so she might as well get it in while she can.
Guests rode in on horse-drawn wagons with haystack seating and the bash included a Dolly Parton impersonator.
Katy says the over-the-top bash was so her friends would be entertained, “I like all my friends to have a good time. I want them to have an experience.”
