Katy Perry: Russell Brand and I Are Not Getting Divorced
And she's not pregnant, either. Got any other rumors?

Katy Perry says her life has turned into a soap opera. Amid rumors that she and husband Russell Brand are getting a divorce, Katy took to Twitter to say:

“First I'm pregnant & then I'm divorced. What am I All My Children?!”

Actually, if All My Children starred a pink-haired pop star who shot fireworks out of her boobs, people might have actually watched it.

And recently, Perry shot down rumors that she was pregnant, too.

"I like In-N-Out Burger and Taco Bell, and if you want to make that pregnant, that's your problem,” Katy said. She also cleared the rumors with Hollyscoop with a clear "Hell No!" when asked if she was pregnant.

But it's not something she's ruling out for the future. Perry told Ellen DeGeneres that having children is “one of the reasons you get married.”

"Especially to the person that you marry. You think, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent," she explained. "But, I'm not sure it's time yet. We'll see, ya know?"

She added that “if it doesn't hurt the first time, I'll keep popping them out!”

Spoiler alert, Katy…I'm pretty sure it hurts. At least a little.

Katy and Russell proved that they are very much still a couple and are happy when they went to get tatted up together last week.

So what did they get? Katy got a peppermint on her ankle, while Russell got tat of his favorite soccer team, West Ham United. Thankfully, they didn't get their initials tattooed because we all know how that usually ends.

The 2012 Grammy nominations were announced on Wednesday night, and Katy has garnered herself a nod for two Grammy Awards. Firework is nominated for Record of the Year, and the single is nominated for Best Pop Vocal performance.

Katy recently likened her music career to a vegetable.

“My career is like an artichoke,” Perry told Vanity Fair. “People might think that the leaves are tasty and buttered up and delicious, and they don't even know that there's something magical hidden at the base of it.”

I love how Katy's metaphors always have a slightly sexual nuance to them. For example, there's also this:

“At this point, I'm just kind of a drifter. I'm open to possibility…. My sponge is so big and wide and I'm soaking everything up.”

Perry admits that a lot of her songs are “total vapid slut jam[s],” but she also says there's a lot to her and her career that people don't see.

“If the core, the honesty, my story, isn't working, then all those bells and whistles aren't going to work, either,” she says. “Sometimes I can be distracted by the glamour and the fabulousness. But my husband always reminds me to keep the core intact.”
