Katy Perry and John Mayer just released a love duet yesterday and not since Jay Z and Beyonce did “'03 Bonnie & Clyde” have we seen a real-life couple put their love on musical display like this.
When a couple does a song togther, it's either the real deal like it is with Beyonce and Jay Z OR it’s the final nail in the coffin like Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey’s “Where You Are.”
But Katy and John's song was giving us lovebird honesty and a source close to Katy tells Hollyscoop exclusively that these two are definitely headed for the altar and much quicker than we thought.
"The song is just the first of many that they plan to do together. This is the real deal for Katy. She says he is the one,” says the source, “I am sure that within the next year they will be engaged, as it is what they both want.”
If Katy can be the woman to tame John’s wandering heart, she deserves some kind of trophy.
The source also tells us that they won’t do a big celeb wedding, it’ll probably go under the radar like Drew Barrymore, Justin Timberlake, Natalie Portman and all those other A-list secret weddings.
"As far as marriage, they would never have a big elaborate Hollywood wedding. It will be the type of thing that you don't hear about it at all until after the fact."
But here’s the thing about their love that just gives us butterflies… “Katy believes that everything that she has done…fame and all…has led her to him.”
Awwww. That’s some Bible logic. We want them to work out so bad!
