Now that Katie Holmes is free from Tom Cruise and his bizarre Scientology clutches, she can go back to doing what made her famous in the first place, acting.
Katie is returning to Broadway to appear in the play “Dead Accounts” which is being billed as a comedy and penned by “Smash” creator Theresa Rebeck.
Katie sat down for an interview and gushed over her new work in the play saying, “It’s exciting!”
“You’re in your dressing room, it’s Saturday night on Broadway, it's exciting!” Katie reveals in an Entertainment Weekly interview.
What’s more, this is the most personality we’ve seen from Katie EVER. She giggles and smiles and does them at the same time! She might even be flirting with her co-star, Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz! Watch the video, looks like flirting to me.
Katie also praises the play’s writer, saying “The characters are real and going through things that we as the audience recognize” and saying the dialogue is so realistic, because “that’s how people talk.”
Talking about the show, she says, “What audiences are gonna get, is something very different every night. We are very lucky people.”
The play’s director Jack O’Brien raved about Katie, calling her a “multi layered, very sophisticated young woman.”
The show begins preview performances on November 3, 2012 and officially opens on Monday November 26, 2012 in NY.
