Katie Holmes, and you're married to
Tom Cruise, the words "recession" or "budget" are not in your vocabulary.
On any given day, they can hop on board their private plane and jet over to Italy, just because they feel like having authentic Italian food. That's the life of an A-lister. So just how much money does Mrs. Tom Cruise spend on her lavish lifestyle? $14 million in the past 6 months alone.
The New York Post's Page Six magazine estimates that, mainly due to her real estate purchases, she has spent more than $14 million since being in the city. That's more money than most of us will ever see in a lifetime.
"While ordinary city dwellers are cutting back, Mrs. Cruise has been valiantly doing her bit to boost our economy," the magazine said. We tally up a conservative estimate of her 24-week NYC spending spree, and crown her Manhattan's Most Valued Shopper."
Out of that $14 million, approximately $14,000 has gone to childcare for Suri, $7,000 has gone to gym equipment, $7,315 on dining out at restaurants such as brasserie Balthazar, and sushi restaurant Nobu, and another $17,000 on clothes for Katie and Suri.
We're not even going to hate on Mrs. Cruise, because chances are we'd be spending up a storm too if we had her bank account. So go on girl, spend your little heart out.
