Katie Holmes learned first-hand this weekend how dangerous movie sets can be sometimes!
She was on the set of her current film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark in Australia over the weekend.
According to the Daily Mail, the scene took place inside of a car, and in the middle of a shot, the car battery exploded, sparking smoke and fumes, before the car then caught fire seconds later.
Katie narrowly escaped, and is reportedly “shaken by the incident.”
A source tells the Mail Online, “Katie was very shaken by the ordeal. She took the rest of the day off while special effects staff looked over the faults.
Katie has filmed scenes since but it has made her think about her safety on set. She will be shooting the same scene at a later date.”
So scary! We’re just glad Katie is ok! We’d need a day or two off after a scare like that too!
