Katie Couric: It's True, I'm Leaving CBS Evening News!

Katie Couric has finally announced she is indeed leaving the CBS Evening News.

“I'm really proud of the talented team on the CBS Evening News and the award-winning work we've been able to do in the past five years in addition to the reporting I've done for 60 Minutes and CBS Sunday Morning. In making the decision to move on, I know the Evening News will be in great hands, but I am excited about the future.”

Translated: “Find someone else to do your damn stories on a man and a goose becoming friends.”

Couric says she is “looking at a format that will allow me to engage in more multi-dimensional storytelling."

Katie, if it involves another look inside your poop chute, no thank you. "I have a lot of areas of interest and I want to be able to fulfill all of that,” Couric continued.

That’s fine, I just hope she doesn’t smile so much; there’s something that’s getting really frightening about her smile lately. Feel like I’m watching Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.
