This past weekend the 2008 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown, Los Angeles. The big talk on the red carpet was whether Kathy Griffin would cause some controversy if she won again.
If you all remember, last year, the “My Life on the D-List” star took the podium with controversial acceptance speech telling Jesus to “suck it.” This year it was victory for Kathy as she took a second consecutive outstanding reality program Emmy for her reality show.
"Well, well, well! Here we go again, fu%@ers. Here we go again!" Griffin said to the audience, which included Tom Hanks and James Ganfoldini.
"Hanks, Gandolfini - What the f**k”! I'm not going to tell anyone to suck it. I would make love to this thing if I could."
Kathy confessed to Hollyscoop on the red carpet how much she loves her Emmy and joked that she takes it everywhere with her. “My Emmy is in the car right now, hopefully waiting for a friend to join her, I love that statue more than a person, I know that’s wrong.”
Backstage, Griffin told reporters that she had toned down her speech for fear of jeopardizing her role as an award presenter at next week's main primetime ceremony.
Speaking of the 60th Annual Primetime Emmys, Hollyscoop got the scoop on the stars thoughts about the 5 co-hosts Ryan Seacrest, Tom Bergeron , Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Jeff Probst who will go head to head as “best reality show host.” Check out the stars response below...
