The Jackson Family drama has finally come to a close and it seems like they were granted with what they were planning all along.
Katherine Jackson has been reinstated as guardian over Paris, Prince and Blanket with T.J. granted a co-guardian on a temporary basis until August 22, 2012. Meaning, T.J. can be removed at any time if the judge sees fit and if a petition is granted on the 22nd, he will become the permanent co-guardian.
Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled that the kids appear to be doing well in the care of Mrs. Jackson. Regardless of what happens on the 22nd, Katherine will be reinstated as sole guardian.
“It’s clear to me the kids are cared for by Mrs. Jackson. It’s obvious they love her very much, they seem to be doing very well,” says Judge Beckloff.
He also added that “Katherine has done a wonderful job. I think the kids are in terrific hands.”
T.J. was appointed temporary co-guardian at the request of both himself and Katherine as it’s assumed he was co-parenting them with Katherine before anyway.
The kids will be allowed to travel outside California with approval from Katherine and T.J.
T.J.’s temporary guardianship can be revoked at any time, but the whole Jackson family appears happy with the arrangement.
T.J’s attorney Charles A. Schultz says that, “TJ is very happy that his grandmother is back.”
Yesterday, Jermaine Jackson issued a statement to The Associated Press saying he regretted the public turmoil and hopes the family drama will stay private from now on.
“After much soul-searching, it is clearly time for us to live by Michael’s words about love not war,” he says, “Mistakes have been made and irrational things have been said on both sides in a highly charged emotional environment.”
