Katherine Heigl Is Too Lazy to Be Religious

Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl is soooo busy being a celebrity, she doesn't have time for things like religion or church. Heigl, who born a Christian but converted to the Church of the Latter-Day Saints after the death of her older brother Jason, she's "too lazy" to follow the religion.

She says, "I still love the theology of the Mormon religion and I think it is a wonderful way to grow up. But I think any real commitment to religion takes time, effort and energy. I just got really lazy and it's hard to get yourself up on a Sunday morning."

Hey at least she's being honest! Other celebs would just stage photo ops at church and call the paps to make they get their picture taken.

Just FYI, Hollyscoop, the LDS church is generally considered Christian so she didn't really go from Christian to Mormon. The LDS church recognizes the Jesus story in its faith and Mormons in city where I used to live hold a Christmas pageant open to the public every December.

The name of the Mormon church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is not the "church of Latter-Day Saints" as stated in the article. It is The Church of Jesus Christ...of Latter-day Saints.

I guess, like Miss Heigle, Hollyscoop is too lazy to write the whole name of the church. It's sad that they left out the most important part of the name, though.

Actually, Minjae, I find members of the church generally refer to it as the LDS church. I guess they're too lazy, too. Sad, n'est ce pas?
