Kate Winslet is proud of her recent weight loss and hot body, and she’s not letting a silly tabloid get the best of her! Kate is suing the
Daily Mail for libel after they wrote an article entitled: “Should
Kate Winslet Win an Oscar for the World’s Most Irritating Actress?”
That even sounds out of line to us! And Kate is out for them, seeking $225,000 in damages. So what’s got her so mad? Well, in the article, the
Mail states that Kate lied about her fitness regimen. What they’re referring to is Kate’s interview with
Elle in which says, “I don’t go to the gym because I don’t have time, but I do Pilates workout DVDs for 20 minutes or more every day at home.”
The
Mail writer wrote in her article about Kate that she “has become, in my opinion, as drippy and as impossibly vain as the rest of them."
"She caught a nasty dose of Hollywooditis. It happens to the best of them, of course it does. It is the duplicitousness that enrages me and most other women I have spoken to."
Sounds like that writer was just having a bad day! We believe Kate probably doesn’t have time for the gym right now, and 20 minutes of Pilates a day still constitutes as a work out.
According to Kate’ legal filing, she was “particularly upset by what she regarded as the very unpleasant and nasty way in which the article was written.” She also said the article left her “distressed and embarrassed” and feeling they had “injured her personal and professional reputation.”
