Kate Winslet has taken a new career challenging role. She is steppinga away for movies for a while and stepping into a miniseries on HBO.
Kate has signed on to star in Todd Haynes' "Mildred Pierce" which will be a five-hour miniseries on HBO.
According to THR, Haynes is directing the adaptation of James M. Cain's classic noir novel, which centers on Mildred Pierce Beragon (Winslet), a proud single mother struggling to earn her daughter's love during the Great Depression in middle-class Los Angeles.
Miniseries' are very hot right now! 'The House of Sadam' did really well and Drew Barrymore's 'Grey Gardens' won numerous awards.
Production is set to begin in April so stay tuned...
