Sorry, Celine Dion.
Kate Winslet made a hugely popular movie, Titanic, which was accompanied by a hugely popular song, My Heart Will Go On. Then, someone had the brilliant idea of combining both—putting intermittent sound bites from the movie into the song. It was great in 1997, but fifteen years later, Kate is still haunted by the tune.
“I feel like throwing up when I hear it,” Kate told MTV News. “No, I shouldn’t say that. No, actually, I do feel like throwing up.”
Meanwhile, Celine Dion has said she’s very close to the song.
“’My Heart Will Go On’ is for me a classic,” Dion said. “And to be a part of a classic is something I feel very proud of.”
Somewhere, Kate Winslet just hurled.
"I wish I could say, 'Oh listen, everybody! It's the Celine Dion song!' But I don't,” Kate said. “I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll."
Titanic has just been re-released in 3D. Earlier this week, Kate appeared at the film’s premiere at London’s Royal Albert Hall earlier this week. And we all remember that nude scene, right? One can only imagine how that will fare in 3D.
Asked how she feels about watching the intimate moment between her character and Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Kate said:
“Terrible, wouldn’t you? I’m not going to look, I’ll be in the bar by that point.”
