While the Royal Wedding is expected to cost $10 million, Kate Middleton’s parents aren’t letting the Queen pay for it all. They’ve offered to contribute a six-figure sum for their daughter’s upcoming wedding.
It’s a sweet gesture. Kind of like when your four-year-old nephew wants to help out at Thanksgiving by making a Play-Doh turkey. I’m sure the Queen and Prince Charles responded to the offer by patting them on the head, clapping and saying “yay, you helped!”
A senior aide told Vanity Fair, “It is something they absolutely wanted to do, and William graciously accepted.”
Middleton’s parents worked for years in the airline industry before starting their own business, “Party Pieces”, a party supply company.
So hey, free napkins and stuff, too!
