Kate Middleton is in rehab. But don’t worry, she’s not battling a K2 Spice/Red Bull addiction, she’s just visiting.
The Duchess has an honorary patronage with an organization called Action on Addiction, and on Thursday, she started her charity work by paying a visit to Clouds House. Clouds House is a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
“Catherine's visit lasted until the afternoon. She met with staff working there, as well as many of the patients being treated," a source tells Us Weekly. "In the morning she had some meetings with key staff at the Action on Addiction HQ, which is next to the rehabilitation facility."
A spokesperson for St. James’s Palace said: “The Duchess is getting to know more about what the charities do and meet the staff and those they help."
In January, Kate accepted honorary positions with Action on Addiction, East Angelia’s Children’s Hospices, the Art Room and the National Portrait Gallery.
Next week, Kate, who is an art history major (she didn’t major in “Principles of Prince Hunting." I know, I was surprised too), will pay a visit to the National Portrait Gallery in London. She’ll attend a private viewing of the Lucian Freud Portraits exhibition. Then, on Valentine’s Day, she’ll head to Liverpool to be a part of another charity event for Action on Addiction & Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
It’ll be her first Valentine’s Day as a married woman and William won’t even be there. I can hardly fathom the injustice.
Kate is also set to visit The Brink, a “dry bar” that is open to the public but also has private areas set aside for alcohol counseling.
