The wait is over! The future Prince is here!
Move over North West, the ACTUAL royal baby has arrived.
Kate Middleton gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz! The infant is now third in line to succeed the throne. A future King was born today.
Kate was in labor for over 10 hours at the Lindo wing of St. Mary's hospital. She had a "normal" birth, but they were careful not to call it a "natural birth," which hints that the Duchess had an epidural.
Kate slunk into full-on maternity hibernation after she made her last official appearance on June 16 at Queen Elizabeth’s 87th birthday party.
The Palace announced that Kate was due on or around July 17th, but in recent weeks some are speculating that the royal family's rep deliberately confused media with an incorrect due date, in an effort to allow Kate to give birth without media scrutiny.
Too bad the paparazzi began lining up outside St. Mary’s Hospital as early as July 1st, just waiting for a glimpse of the Duchess and the royal baby.
St. Mary’s actually blocked off several parking spots for the royals for the entire month of July, just in case. Fun fact: It’s the same hospital where Prince William and Prince Harry were born.
UPDATE: Prince William will take his full paternity leave to spend time with his new Prince.
UPDATE 2: Kate Middleton gave birth naturally, it was not a c-section.
