When it comes to the royal wedding, Kate Middleton and her Prince are calling all the shots.
The wedding is just a few months away so Kate has already gotten the ball rolling on wedding planning. Westminster Abbey has been booked for April 29th and designers have been busy sketching possible wedding gowns for the future Princess.
The Queen may be the Queen, but when it comes to Kate and Prince William's upcoming wedding, apparently the Queen of England isn't going to have much say. That must have been an awkward conversation to have!
"This is Prince William and Catherine's day," the prince's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton said. "They are giving us very clear direction and calling the shots, and through me, their wishes are being put into action by – as you can imagine – a rather large supporting cast."
She's calling the shots for the wedding, but apparently she has to change her name. After April 29th, Kate will no longer be Kate. Everyone has to refer to her by her formal name, Catherine.
I'm having a hard time believing Kate has full control of the wedding. She'll probably have some say in her dress, but that's probably where it ends. They don't call her the Queen of England for nothing, and at the end of the day, "Catherine" has a lot of people to impress!
If I were her, I'd leave the details to the professionals! There are only going to be about a bazillion eyeballs on her that day--no pressure!
