It’s back to work for the royal couple! Kate Middleton and Prince William attended their first public function following the birth of their son, Prince George Alexander Louis, this morning.
While they left their son in the comfort of their estate home, Kate and Will lent their support to participants of Anglesey’s 135-mile coastal run.
William was always set to attend, but Kate wanted to join him at the last minute to express her gratitude to the remote isle’s citizens.
“Initially the Duchess wasn’t going to attend but she was also keen for the chance to thank the people of Anglesey herself for the warmth and hospitality they have shown her and the Duke,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Kate proved to be in high spirits and even talked about their newborn boy with attendees.
“He’s doing very well,” she said. “He’s with granny [Caroline Middleton] at the moment. He’s sleeping well, but I know these things change at a minute’s notice.”
