Matt Bellamy and Kate Hudson Explain Crazy Baby Name
Some crazy celebrity baby names seem like celebs are just looking around the room and naming things, “We shall name her Apple. Because there are several sitting on that counter.”

But Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy’s not-your-average baby name has a significant story to it. So they say.

Hudson and Bellamy’s newborn son’s full name is Bingham ‘Bing’ Hawn. Bellamy explains the inspiration for the interesting name choice, “For those wondering, Bingham is my mum’s maiden name,” he tweets, “Bing Russell was also Kurt [Russell’s] dad. Family connections all around!”

Kurt Russell is Goldie Hawn’s partner for 28 years whom Kate Hudson considers to be her father as he was the one to raise her, so Bing Russell is kind of like her grandpa.

The second part of Bing’s name is in dedication to Goldie Hawn, Kate’s mother. So there, total family significance.

Natalie Portman named her son Aleph, after the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet and the Beckhams named their daughter Harper Seven because it sounded cool?

I mean, we couldn’t expect Hudson and Bellamy to give their kid some commoner name like Josh or Cory? Kate’s first son is named Ryder, yes Ryder with a “y.”
