Kate Hudson Has a New Man

August 08, 2007

I really didn't see this one coming, but than again I didn't see Kate with her ex hubby either so let's move on to the scoop. Kate Hudson has been getting hot and heavy with Dax Shepard from MTV's 'Punked.'

Apparently things have been heating up real quick because Hudson has already introduced Shepard to her parents. During a weeklong lakeside vacation, Hudson and her new man were caught during some major PDA.

According to Us Weekly, on July 30th the love birds flew on a private jet to Muskoka, Canada, where Kurt Russell and mom Goldie Hawn own a home. Most of the Hudson/Russel clan was there for the family vaca.

“Dax fit right in,” says a source, adding that he played tennis with Hudson’s younger brothers, and helped teach her 3-year-old son, Ryder how to fish. Aww that’s too cute! But poor little Ryder has already had like 5 father figures and he's only 3.

“One day, all the guys took a boat to an outdoor market and ate hot dogs. Dax and Kurt were laughing like they had known each other for years,” says the source.

Shepard may be fitting in with Hudson's family but her friends aren't really buying into the relationship. “Everyone thinks it’s a strange choice for her. Dax is wild and weird,” says one source close to the star.

What do you guys think? Will it last or is it a summer fling? They seem so odd together but who I am to decide.
