Attention all you Gleeks out there…
Shooting for Season 4 of the FOX series is officially underway and there are a slew of big name stars rumored to be making guest appearances. One of those big names is Almost Famous star Kate Hudson, who is currently on set filming for her spot on the high school hit.
The news was confirmed through the show’s creator Ryan Murphy, who posted a picture of the actress on set via his Twitter account.
Also in the shot was “Glee” veteran Lea Michele. The duo posed arm-in-am with each other in matching black tops on the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts set. They both smiled wide for the camera as a chandelier looms overhead.
“GLEE exclusive: @msleamichele and Kate Hudson on the NYADA set. Kate had chandelier approval. ;),” Ryan tweeted along with the photo.
(Must be an inside joke.)
Michele, who plays Rachel on the series, previously told Entertainment Tonight about her excitement for working with Kate.
“Oh my gosh. I am so obsessed with her. I love her,” said Michele. “She’s one of the greatest comedic actresses right now. I just think she’s so great … so I can’t wait to work with her!”
Kate will be part of Lea’s storyline. She will play Cassandra July, Rachel’s dance teacher now that she’s moved on to the performing arts school at NYADA.
According to the HuffPost TV, the new setting is going to be hard on Rachel’s character.
“It's going to be a challenge for her,” Michele said. “But I think that Rachel definitely works at her best when she has to fight against something, or when she sort of has the odds stacked against her.”
Another big name to join the cast is Sarah Jessica Parker who will play a very “Sex in the City”type of role as a journalist running Vogue.com.
Season 4 of “Glee” premieres Thursday, September 13 on FOX.
