Karina and Maksim Dish On Wedding Plans

Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy just announced their engagement last month, and wedding plans are already well underway!

The two are knee deep in rehearsals for Dancing with the Stars, so it’s a wonder they’re able to get any planning done.

Hollyscoop got a chance to speak with Karina and Maksim at the Haven: An Evening Of Style event, and it may surprise you that their roles seem to be reversed!

When we asked Karina if it would be a long engagement given the fact that they’re two very busy people, she told us, “No, he wants to get married before the end of this year, so so far I've gone along with his ideas and they've been good!

"It will be a big wedding cause we have a lot of family- our "small" engagement party turned into like an eighty person party. It was mostly his family.”

It sounds like Maksim definitely wears the pants. Usually it’s the girl who wants to get married right away, but in their case, it’s Maksim!

As far as how the actual plans are going, Karina told Hollyscoop, “We just want to be together, but now everyone in the family has a say so I’m getting nervous- but he's been so good. A lot more agreeable since we got engaged actually!”

Sounds like they’re going through what every engaged couple goes through when planning a wedding. Everyone has to have their say in the matter. But for now, Karina and Maksim are just focused on the DWTS competition.
B We asked them who their partners were, and it sounds like all parties are happy! Karina said, “He is with Denise Richards and I'm with Steve Wozniak. He is the nicest guy in the world. Definitely a little out of his element, but unique and funny you can’t possibly dislike him in any way.”

We felt a little bad for Maksim being with Denise Richards, but he didn’t seem to mind. He told us, “Denise is a lot of fun. She’s good.”

Now the question is, who will stay in the competition longer? Karina and Steve, or Maksim and Denise?
