Let us jog your memory. Last week, Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel found themselves in a rap feud. Kanye did a weird interview on BBC Radio 1, Jimmy spoofed it on his show and Kanye lit into Jimmy in a series of NSFW tweets.
Well, Kanye went on Kimmel’s show last night to bury the hatchet, but what really happened was Jimmy groveling like a baby to Kanye because he was legitimately scared of being slammed online again. Then Kanye took the public opportunity to complain about why no one takes him seriously as a fashion designer.
We had the interesting task of sitting through all six parts of the interview to bring you the highlight reel.
Here are Kanye’s best/weirdest/most profound moments from the really long interview.
“When I saw the skit [that Kimmel made about me] I didn’t even watch all the way through, because I didn’t want to be infuriated.” - Kanye
“I have never done a publicity stunt.” - Kanye
“These things are important and the truth is important. I don’t know if you know this, but everyone thinks you’re a jerk.” - Jimmy
“I’m a creative genius, and I know you’re not supposed to say that about yourself.” - Kanye
“All I care about is protecting my girl, protecting my baby, and protecting my hopes and dreams.” - Kanye
“I’m totally weird and I’m totally honest. If I didn’t say I was a genius I would be lying to you and myself.” - Kanye
“I’m gonna give y’all the truth to the day I die. Your gonna love it or you’re gonna hate it, but Imma be me.” - Kanye
“I do everything I can to break media.” - Kanye
“Who do you know that is known more for clothes, than me?” - Kanye
“It’s snobbery, I’m not into all that snobbery.” - Kanye
“People are too scared of being spoofed.” - Kanye
“My mother made me believe in myself.” - Kanye
“It’s not safe for you in this zoo. Don’t forget that I’m not from Chicago for one second.” - Kanye
