President Obama: Kanye Is a Jackass. Talented, But a Jackass
I think Democrats and Republicans can unite on this one.

President Obama was asked which hip hop artist he likes better—Jay-Z or Kanye. With a smile, Obama responded: “Jay-Z.” But he added: “Although I like Kanye. He’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented.”

But two years ago, Barack told ABC’s Nightline that he thought Kanye was a “jackass” for interrupting Taylor Swift’s speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

And he still thinks so.

“He is a jackass,” Obama said. “But he’s talented.”

I’m guessing the Kardashian rumors aren’t helping.

The Obamas are actually good friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce, so perhaps President Obama is a little biased. In 2010, the couple visited President Obama in the White House before Jay-Z headed to the Verizon Center in Washington to perform a concert.

During the concert, Jay gave a shout-out to the kid of a White House staffer, saying:

"I don't know where you are, but happy birthday. I just came from the White House. And your pop works there. He said 'happy birthday.’”

Meanwhile, Beyonce just wrote a kind fan letter to First Lady Michelle Obama on her personal website:

“Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u (sic) do for us – I am proud to have my daughter grow up in world where she has people like you to look up to.”

She added that FLOTUS is “the ultimate example of a truly strong African American women (sic). “
