Last night Hollyscoop stopped by trendy Robertson Blvd. for the opening of INTERMIX boutique. Celebs and fashion enthusiasts alike all stopped by to shop and mingle. At the store opening we ran into Kanye West and his girlfriend Alexis Pfeiffer.
Kanye tried to avoid interviews because he wanted his stylist girlfriend to get all the attention but we still managed to get him to talk on camera. We asked him about his 'feud' with 50 Cent and he admitted that they both released their albums on the same day for publicity. He was brief with his interview on camera but when we ran into him inside the store he was a completely different person.
After I confessed that I was a real fan and went into detail about his songs he lit up like a candle and thanked me for buying his album. He asked which single I think should be his next to which I quickly replied "Everything I am."
I asked him if he had written 'Homecoming' about his girlfriend and he said, "I think she thinks it’s about her but it’s actually about Chicago."
He posed for photographs with anyone who asked and mingled with all the guests. I rarely get star struck but he really had a strong presence and believe it or not he was one of the most down to earth celebrities I've ever met--he just got a fan for life.
