Nothing about this headline should be surprising. I’m guessing he either tried to take over the Diamond Jubilee or showed up to Buckingham Palace with his entourage and asked how much they want for the place.
Kanye and some friends, including rappers Common and Pusha T, were staying at London’s ritzy Lanesborough Hotel, which is close to Buckingham Palace and, by the way, rooms go for $4,247 a night. I don’t know why that’s relevant to the story, but damn, right? Anyway, Kanye has reportedly been living there with his entourage and they’ve been playing music way too loudly, upsetting the royal family.
Kanye’s protégé Big Sean told The Sun: “There were members of the royal family staying below us. Kanye had rented out the top floor and we was banging that b-tch out.” The rapper continued: “The royal family below were complaining like, ‘We got all this loud-ass rap music above us and weed smoke.’”
I think he was paraphrasing, though I really do want to imagine Queen Elizabeth saying “loud-ass rap music.”
Meanwhile, Kanye debuted his new women’s clothing line at Paris Fashion Week. On Tuesday night in France, Yeezy showed off his fall/winter ‘Dw’ collection. Critics described his look as Givenchy-inspired. Kanye’s collection included backless motorcycle jackets, knee-high boots, furs, and go-karts.
Apparently go-karts are very “in” for fall/winter 2012. At the end of the show, flashing lights and dry ice revealed go-karts speeding around a racetrack, and then Kanye took a bow. Celebrity guests at Kanye’s show included Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian and elusive Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
