Kanye West Is Too Cool To Promote

Kanye West probably thinks that he doesn’t need to do any sort of publicity on his new album because well, he’s Kanye West.

After getting shut out of all five nominations for the second year in a row Kanye throws a hissy fit tirade backstage at the VMAs this year and swears he will never do anything for MTV again.

He’s been canceling appearances left and right. It started with the ‘Today’ show, then TRL and rumor has it that he might also cancel ‘Ellen’ and ‘SNL.’

You would think he would wanna do more publicity because of his “bet” with 50 Cent. "Kanye knows he is winning the album battle with 50 Cent and is so high on his horse that he can't even bother promoting his album," a source told The Post.

What people don’t realize is that Kanye is getting more publicity by doing things like canceling appearances. People are more interested in the gossip as to why Kanye canceled rather than if he were to appear on the shows and promote an album. Arrogant, but smart guy!

I know my own black people ain't putting down there own people. I agree Kanye did show his color by becoming irate but he is right. It isn't fair. I pray that those negative comments came from some uneducated child posing as a black person because I know one of our people wouldn't say cotton picking. I brought Kanye CD and it is indeed true hip hop.

I agree that Kanye shouldn't act that way but that is the way he markets himself. Also Karma is a bitch so it will all come back around on him. And I don't see hime as being a disgrace to black people or people in general. He is hurting no one but himself, and I agree that it makes no since for you guys to get on here and use racial slurs to get that point accross about Kanye. To those people it makes you more ignorant than Kanye. Just my thoughts though. Let him act the way he wants. If you like it, buy it if you don't dont't try it.

Kanye West is remarkably talented but he makes it so-o-o difficult to enjoy any of his work. It's hard to forget a tantrum like that.

it is a shame that ignorant people would use this as a venue to show how racist they are . As far as Kanye is concerned he has a big ego that is part of the artistry it is what it is i would not have purchased his album anyway if it were not for the fifty exposure i would not even know his album was out

I used to like him at one time. He is alienating his fans - not too smart. His last c.d. only had a few good songs and the rest was filler crap. Nobody likes a narcissist, except the narcissist him, Kanye.
