Everything Kanye West says will get twisted at this point, but his latest statement about his struggles with celebrity and performing doesn’t need much of the media’s help.

From a radio interview with SaturdayNightOnline.com, Kanye compares his latest Yeezus tour with the same dangers cops and soldiers at war face.

“I’m just giving my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally,” Kanye said, referring to a moment in his concert in which thestage rises and resembles a steep mountain.

“That mountain goes really, really high,” he added, “and if I slipped…you never know. And I think about it. I think about my family and I’m like, ‘Wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something.’”

Those criticizing could be taking his analogy way too literally. After all he is a rapper, and typically a mainstream rapper’s bread and butter is hyperbole. This isn’t all that surprising.
