Justin Timberlake hanging out at a Hank Williams Jr. concert? Why not! After all, when he accepted Best Male Video at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003, he said, “my grandfather raised me on Johnny Cash. I’m from Tennessee.”
The 31-year-old pop star was joined backstage by fiancé and actress, Jessica Biel, at the concert in Southhaven, Mississippi where Williams, 62, was performing under the name Rockin’ Randall.
Also on hand, People Magazine reports, were Timberlake’s mom, Lynn, and his friend/business partner Trace Ayala who later tweeted to Williams, “thanks for the hospitality on the bus.”
“What a great guy!” Hank commented afterwards of their chat. “We talked about girls, guitars, turkey hunting, going on cruises and how much we hate them...”
Wait, Justin Timberlake hates cruises? What’s to hate about an endless buffet? Did he get turned down for the role in “Titanic” or something? Was he once cornered by John Mayer in one of his Borat man-thong tributes? Has he not seen Jessica Biel in a bathing suit?
Williams went on to add, “Hell, Justin and I are even talking about recording a blues song sometime.”
Hmmm. Could there possibly be a duet in the works for the two singers? Clearly it won't take place on a cruise.
