Yesterday, a tasteless video of a bunch of homeless people wishing Justin Timberlake good luck at his $6.5 million wedding surfaced online. Justin’s friend thought it would be “funny” to exploit some LA vagrants, but the result was pretty distasteful.
Justin Timberlake has just posted a NOVEL on his personal website basically saying A) he had NOTHING to do with the video, B) Agrees that it was made in poor taste, and C) is forcing his friend to do community service.
“I think we can all agree that it was distasteful, even though that was not it’s intention,”
Justin writes on his blog, “I want to be very clear…I am NOT defending the video.”
“I had no knowledge of its existence. I had absolutely ZERO contribution to it,” says JT.
Oh also, there were rumors that Justin thought the video was so hilarious that he showed it at his wedding, but Justin cleared that up, writing, “It was NOT shown at my wedding.”
“I want to say that I am deeply sorry to anyone who was offended by the video,” but defends his friend who made the video, “My friends are good people. This was clearly a lapse in judgment which I’m sure no one who is reading this is exempt from.”
He also said something very revealing, saying he thinks the video was made as a joke because he didn’t have “that many friends attending my own wedding.”
Hmmm, that’s one tid bit we can take from this is that JT doesn’t have any friends willing to travel to Italy for him…interesting.
Oh also, “You can bet your ass that I’m having my friend do at least 100 hours of community service…Boom.”
And that’s how you apologize on the Internet!
